UNIT: TODAY IS MONDAY

 Hello everyone:

We're working on the story "Today is Monday". It is written by Eric Carle. From this story, we're learning about food. We've learned so many new words and we've also learned how to answer to the question "Do you like...? with Yes, I do or No, I don't.

We've learned the days of the week as well.

 Hello everyone!!!

With Elmer, we're learning how to say our feelings and emotions. 

In class, we watched a video about the film "Inside out", in which we had to guess how she is feeling. It was really fun and we liked it a lot.

Amb Elmer, estem aprenent a dir els nostres sentiments i emocions.

En classe, hem vist un vídeo sobre la película "Del revés", en la que havíem d'endevinar com se sentia la xiqueta. Ha sigut molt divertit i ens ha agradat molt.

We also listened a song from the Colour Monster story.

També hem escoltat una canço del conte del Monstre de Colors.

As Elmer is a patchwork elephant we're working on colours. 

In class, we have watched some videos, we have listened and sung some songs and we have played some games to learn the name of the colours in English.

We're back again. 

In first grade, we started working on Elmer's story. It's a story about an amazing patchwork elephant who was tired of being diferent and he wanted to be the same as the others. What's coming next? We can't wait to find it out.

RAINBOW FISH: FINAL TASK. 1st GRADE

AUGMENTED REALITY (AR). 1st GRADE. THE RAINBOW FISH

Hello again,

First grade students are enjoying and having fun with the beautiful story "The Rainbow Fish". We've made some activities, and one of their favourite's one has been playing with the augmented reality (AR). 

We used an app called QUIVER. You can download and print from their webpage some drawings and then, colour in them. 

Then comes the magic: drawings come to life!

Here below, you can see how much they had fun!

THERE WAS AN OLD LADY. 1ST GRADE

Hi everyone!

First grade students have learned a nursery rhyme called "There was an old lady who swallowed a fly". We read the story and watched some videos with the story. We also made a craft about this crazy song and finally we learned and sang it. Here is the result!

FRUIT RECIPE. 1ST GRADE.

Hi everyone!
First grade students have been working about Handa's surprise story. It's about a girl who wants to give some fruits to her friend as a present.
We learned the name of many fruits and as a final task we prepared a fruit recipe: "Fruit brochette".
We made it with some strawberrys, bananas, apples and tangerines.
It was really delicious!

EMPEROR'S CROWN. ARTS 1ST GRADE

Hello everyone!
We go on exploring the British Museum with 1st grade students. This time, we start working on Ancient Greek and Roman art. We really had fun making this emperor's crown with many green leaves as if we were the Cesar Emperor of Rome.

WONDERLAND

Hi everyone!

Last Friday, at school, we enjoyed a fantastic play called Wonderland, performed by La Tourné Teatre Company. It was amazing how they made children connect with the story, how they made children sing and dance all the songs... It was really wonderful.
